• SPX collects personal information when you register with SPX and visit SPX pages.
• When you register we ask for information such as your name, email address, location, birth date, and sports preferences. Once you register with SPX and sign in to our services, you are not anonymous to us.
• SPX automatically receives and records information in our database from your browser, including your IP address, SPX cookie information, and the page you request.
• SPX uses information for the following general purposes: to confirm your identity, to customize your browsing experience, fulfill your requests for products and services, improve our services, contact you, and display various reports, such as location demographics and least/most popular sports, which can be viewed by the general public.

• We provide the information to trusted partners who work on behalf of or with SPX under confidentiality agreements. These companies may use your personal information to help SPX communicate with you about offers from SPX and our marketing partners. However, these companies do not have any independent right to share this information.
• We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims;
• We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of SPX's terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.
• We transfer information about you if SPX is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, SPX will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

SPX displays targeted advertisements based on page content, not personal information, thus interacting with or viewing an advertisement is completely anonymous. SPX advertisers are mostly sports related and targeted through Google's Adsense service.

• We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to the SPX service, such as email verifications, password confirmation requests, service announcements and administrative messages, that are considered part of your SPX account, without offering you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving them.

You can delete your SPX account by sending a message to any of our active Moderators using the Moderators page. Your SPX account will be locked, deactivated and then deleted from our user registration database in approximately 120 days. This delay is necessary to discourage users from engaging in fraudulent activity.

• SPX keeps your account information active in our user registration databases in order to provide immediate access to your personalization preferences each time you visit SPX. A temporary copy of this information is routinely made to prevent accidental loss of your information through a computer malfunction or human error.
• Any information that we have copied may remain in back-up storage for some period of time after your deletion request. This may be the case even though no information about your account remains in our active user databases.

• We limit access to personal information about you to Moderators who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do better interact with you and help you use SPX services.
• You can, of course, share your personal information with other SPX members by adding each member to your SPX Buddy List. They will be able to view all optional information, if any, entered under the "Buddy Information" section of your Edit Profile page.
• Passwords are encrypted before storing them on our servers, and as a result are not human readable. If for some reason the SPX password database is compromised, your password would be nearly impossible to decrypt, which protects not only your SPX account, but other accounts that you may possess, in the common scenario that people often use the same password for more than one website or service.
